This quilt combines simple shapes and raw-edge appliqué with a simple four block construction to create a colorful geometric perspective. The use of fused raw-edge appliqué makes this a win for all levels.
Earamichia “Encyclopedia” Brown: Her love of fiber arts and all things craft began as a child. Earamichia’s family had a set of the World Book Encyclopedia series and the Childcraft – The How and Why Library. Within that Childcraft series there was a volume called “Make and Do”, which she did plenty of. Earamichia wanted to become a fashion designer, but settled for plan B. She is an attorney by day to support her love of fiber.
Earamichia’s love of crafts and fiber continued to flourish throughout the years as a hobby, side jobs, and gift giving. In 2000, Earamichia was introduced to quilting and began taking sewing classes to improve on her techniques and learn the tips of this craft. She has been published in a number of quilt related books and has exhibited her work at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, as well as other exhibits and venues across the country.
Earamichia finds inspiration in her love of nature, family, friends and history. And the story continues as she continues to grow creatively.
