Lighted by the Blinds was inspired by shapes and shadows formed when sunlight emerged between the window blinds in Karen’s house. The design plays with color, scale, and shape while teaching piecing skills important in modern quilting, including working with large pieces, strip piecing, and using templates.
Forever a textile addict, Karen Bolan started quilting in 2014. Karen enjoys designing and quilting her own quilts, and when given the option, always chooses to stretch her skillset. Karen is passionate about teaching and sharing her love of quilting and wishes to convert everyone she meets into die-hard quilters.
